Sara started her yoga practice during high school in, 2008, during the peak of her adolescence while struggling with drug & alcohol addiction, anxiety, eating-disorders and depression. After a few years of consistent and in-depth meditation and yoga practice, she discovered the transformative and healing benefits of yoga and meditation. Sara attended her first yoga teacher training in Cahuita, Costa Rica, in 2014, to explore yoga with more commitment. Since then, Sara has traveled the world practicing, learning, and teaching the fine art and ancient science of yoga and meditation. Sara has spent a lot of time teaching yoga and meditation at elementary schools, universities, fitness centers, local festivals, and at yoga studios. Her most meaningful experience has been teaching under-served populations such as in underserved schools with Zenworks, juvenile detention centers, treatment centers, and at mental health facilities. Sara completed her 300-hour teaching training program in India, 2016, where she attended Yogadarshanam Ashtanga/Hatha yoga school and the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute under Saraswathi Jois, both schools in Mysore, India.
Sara completed the 10-day Vipassana Silent Meditation Retreat in October, 2017, where she studied the laws of nature and the universe through silent sitting and observation. Sara recently completed a 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Practitioner's Intensive with world renowned Kino Macgregor, her husband Tim, and their team at Miami Life Center.
Sara believes in teaching yoga in its true authenticity to help maintain its integrity here in the USA.
