Kelly Chec
YOGA TEACHER
Kelly first found yoga in 2003 but had no idea then the incredible support, tool and friend it would become on life’s journey. Practicing yoga allows her to remain mobile, flexible and strong with Multiple Sclerosis. Restorative and Yin practices were helpful for dealing with chronic adrenal fatigue and an important tool for recovering after times of acute stress. Most importantly, she experienced connection - to her body and breath, and to community and the love available to us all. It seems inevitable now but the force of dharma became too strong to ignore and she changed direction to pursue a life of service - Karma yoga. YTT taught her that practicing the eight limbs of yoga as the foundation and sharing that with others is a calling. She is passionate about sharing her experiences and teaching and learning from others. Kelly wants all to feel empowered about their own emotional, physical and spiritual wellness and how to take that feeling off the mat and into the world. When not teaching or taking a class, you can find her volunteering with the Red Cross, creating art, gardening and hiking.
“Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are. We are often like rivers: careless and forceful, timid and dangerous, lucid and muddied, eddying, gleaming, still.” ― Gretel Ehrlich, The Solace of Open Spaces
