AERIAL SILKS TEACHER
Vanessa began her circus journey in 2010 with aerial silks classes at Sokol Greater Cleveland, later adding aerial hammock and stilt walking to her circus resume. After training as an instructor under the guidance of Leslie Friend, who started the aerial programs at both The Studio and Sokol, Vanessa began teaching workshops and classes at both locations. She has performed with multiple local circus groups, and is a founding member of Crooked River Circus. Recent performance highlights include The Seance: A Creepy Cabaret self-produced show in 2019, Ingenuity Fest, and Jefferson Rocks West Park. Vanessa's teaching philosophy focuses on mastering foundational skills, developing proper technique, and above all, flying safely! At The Studio Cleveland, Vanessa teaches beginner-intermediate aerial silks and beginner hammock. She is also available for private lessons and special events.
